Having only been using this for a couple of weeks on a chronic injury, I can't yet testify to its long-term benefits. That said, I can say that this is indeed a legit Class 3B laser, and I believe the spec of 800 mw/cm2 is accurate. Well, it took me sometime to get used to its use. The directions that came with this item, for me, were not enough to make it work right away.
For example, once the battery was full and the dial was showing 5 min ...although I was pressing the bottom for TIME, it was not working. Eventually I was able to increase the time. One more little problem was that once the battery was full but no dial was showing on the machine, I could not either start the red light or the dial for the time. Sometimes on the time dial it would appear the #88, but still no red laser.
Once in a while this still happens but for the most part now I am able to make the machine work ok.
I guess the more you use the machine the easier it is to make it work on what you want to do.....increase the time, etc.
