Your WOD Times Are Logged to the Second
Every Fran time, every 21-15-9 split, every PR attempt goes into SugarWOD the moment the clock stops. If it happened in the box, it's tracked.
Your Whoop logs your HRV before you're out of bed. SugarWOD has every Fran time you've ever posted. Somewhere in that stack of numbers, recovery still shows up as a score you check, not something you actually do anything about.
Real recovery outcomes, reported by athletes who track everything else too.

Whoop reports your HRV and your sleep score before you're even out of bed. Three green numbers in a row and you walk in assuming you're ready.
Heavy cleans, kipping pull-ups, a hard WOD, and two days later you're still moving carefully. Your tracker said you recovered. Your body took a different vote.
A recovery score is a readout, not a lever. It tells you where you stand after training already did its damage. It was never built to change what happens next.
That's the gap Novaalab's LightPad closes. 15 to 20 minutes of red and near-infrared light works at the cellular level, repairing the tissue your HRV and sleep score can only ever describe. This is the one number you finally get to move yourself.
l Iove and use Novaalab's Pad and Laser in my chiropractic office every day. The combination of infrared and cold red light toreduce inflammation on tight, sore and overworked muscles and connective tissue. I also appreciate their great customer service!
I highly recommend and encourage my practice members to use NOVAA Red / IR therapy devices to improve circulation, decrease pain and accelerate healing. The quality and affordability of their products is a win-win for my patients trying to achieve optimal health.
I highly recommend Novaalab's Products as an excellent partner to periodontal treatment. It's a safe, effective way to reduce gum inflammation and bleedingat home.
What each tracked metric is actually measuring, and why a reading alone doesn't change it.
Heavy training lowers HRV because your nervous system is still processing the load, not because anything has been fixed. Red and near-infrared light works at the mitochondrial level, feeding cells the energy (ATP) they need to repair faster, which is what actually moves an HRV trend, not just watching it.
Sleep and muscle repair are related, not identical. You can log eight hours and still carry inflammation and micro-tears from a heavy session. Light therapy addresses the tissue directly, the part a sleep score was never designed to measure.
Soreness that lingers past a day or two is inflammation and cellular damage still working itself out, not a badge of a good session. Consistent post-WOD use is associated with shorter soreness windows, not a one-session fix.
Scaled or skipped sessions because of lingering soreness cost more progress than any single missed PR attempt. Recovery capacity is what keeps a training block intact, the one metric that quietly decides whether every other number you track keeps trending up.
Four things worth knowing before it becomes part of your post-WOD routine.
Two wavelengths in one pad, reaching roughly 2 inches deep into muscle tissue, past what any surface-level tool touches.
Covers shoulders, lower back, hamstrings, wherever a heavy session landed. No holding it in place, no second person needed.
Fits in a gym bag for the box, home, or on the road. One less excuse to skip the routine.
Cleared for home use, no prescription, no clinical appointment required to fit it into a post-WOD routine.
The same inflammation that builds up after a heavy WOD is what keeps you sore two days later. LightPad targets it directly, right after training, before it has time to compound.
Recurring soreness in the same spots (shoulders, lower back, hamstrings) raises re-injury risk over time. Consistent use supports the repair that keeps those problem areas from becoming a pattern.
The same red and near-infrared wavelengths used in the LightPad have been studied in independent clinical research on muscle recovery and performance, not just marketed on the claim.

Massage, PT, chiropractic, cryotherapy, in-office red light. 5 ways athletes already pay to recover, one visit at a time.
Here's what replaces all of it with a single routine.
Built for athletes who already track everything else, and are done leaving the one number that actually matters unaddressed.
15 to 20 minutes after training, on whatever's sorest. Straps on, stays hands-free, and works at the cellular level your wearable was never built to reach.
