I bought this for my wife who fell and broke (arm)bones just below wrist, requiring surgery. She started using it aprox. 2 months after surgery. Swelling of the area is improving. Also, her R.O.M. is getting much better. She is continuing her P.T. each week as well. She uses this 2-3 times per day for 10 minutes. She is on day 11. She is now using it on her foot as well. She did not break her foot. She did have one heck of a sprain! Since it has helped reduce pain in wrist area, she is using it on the area that too. I am an avid tennis player. I bought it primarily to help with my achilles tendonitis and tennis elbow. I have actually used it on 7 or 8 body parts in the 2 weeks I have owned it. I had a recent cut on my forearm which left a big scar, it is starting to fade away nicely. I had some soreness in my pectoral (chest) muscle from practicing hard tennis serves. This unit works well, but to compare it to a clinical cold laser treatment is not an apples to apples comparison. This unit does do the same treatment but not at the same intensity as a clinical laser. With the clinical laser you will have immediate results in just one treatment. The NovaaLab laser/red light treatments are cumulative to get effective results. I have been using about two weeks and have seen some positive results. Customer service was prompt when I contacted them for assistance. The position of the power/minutes buttons are in awkward place and gets pressed frequently when trying to hold the laser in place. I am hoping for more effective results in the next weeks of use, as this is a very pricy piece of equipment.,

Having only been using this for a couple of weeks on a chronic injury, I can't yet testify to its long-term benefits. That said, I can say that this is indeed a legit Class 3B laser, and I believe the spec of 800 mw/cm2 is accurate. You can tell it's a laser by the grainy interference pattern that it casts, and the sensation it gives after a while directly against the skin is similar to the Class 4 laser treatments I have had at the PT office. That power level puts this at about 40x some similar-looking devices, which is obviously a serious difference. Most of those other ones include safety glasses for no reason whatsoever... this one, I'd actually recommend wearing them.

The Extra Strength Laser is amazing! As an avid backpacker and someone who trains 6 days a week, every week, I have a lot of painful areas - back, knees, knuckles, etc. I have a lot of arthritis in many of my joints also.
